Okie Safety Consulting will be required for:

New Residential Construction (including larger shops and outbuildings)

Commercial Builds and Renovations

Commercial/Residential Additions (adding square footage)

Commercial change of occupancy

Solar/Wind/Generator Installation

Okie Safety Consulting is the third-party administrator of building codes for the City of Marlow. All charges of Okie Safety Consulting are paid by builder/customer directly to Okie Safety Consulting.

Contact City Hall first at 580-658-5401. Ask for Building Permits. The City of Marlow will issue a Certificate of Occupancy upon final approval of code compliance from OSC.

Typical Order of Permit Process
Non Okie Safety Building Permit

1. Contact with City Hall Building Permit Personnel
2. Complete Application (turn in copy of survey, drawings, etc.)
3. City Personnel and Departments review application with possible site visits.
4. Call for City Hall to pick up Building Permit - pay fee at this time.

Usual turnaround time is 1 week based on completeness of application.

Typical Order of Permit Process
Okie Safety Consulting project

  1. Contact with City Hall Building Permit Personnel.

  2. Contact with Okie Safety for submittal of plans

  3. Plan Review

  4. Plan Review approval is followed by contact with City Hall for local building permit. City service fees, taps and permit fees are paid at this time.

  5. Project start

  6. Inspections - Footing, underground, rough-ins. There are a minimum of four inspections (including final) by Okie Safety Consulting with new construction. Plan these accordingly to save on inspection costs.

  7. Utility service inspection by city departments to receive full utility service.

  8. Final inspection.

  9. Certificate of Occupancy.
