Gorman Paving

With patching complete, the paving in the 9th Street Resurfacing Project will begin Monday, Nov. 3.

Each section will be marked by safety cones with work taking place between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. During this week, property owners, and those living on 9th Street, are asked to keep pets indoors, turn sprinkler systems off and not park on the roadway. The use of alternate routes next week is strongly encouraged.

Through traffic will be slowed during construction, and you should use caution if driving during non-construction hours.

The expected schedule is as follows:
Monday, Nov. 3 - Paving of the northbound lane between the Caddo intersection and Osage.
Tuesday, Nov. 4 - Paving of the southbound lane between the Caddo intersection and Osage.
Wednesday, Nov. 5 - Paving of the northbound lane between Choctaw and Arapahoe. (intersections affected include Grand, Chickasaw, Garland, and Cheyenne).
Thursday, Nov. 6 - Paving of the southbound lane between Choctaw and Arapahoe. (intersections affected include Grand, Chickasaw, Garland, and Cheyenne).
Friday, Nov. 7 - Any work necessary from previous days. Still be aware of construction.
Saturday morning, Nov. 8 - Paving of the southbound lane between Arapahoe to north of Main Street. (intersections affected include Arapahoe, Cherokee, Seminole, Park and Main.)
Saturday afternoon, Nov. 8 - Paving of the northbound lane between Arapahoe to north of Main Street. (intersections affected include Arapahoe, Cherokee, Seminole, Park and Main.)
Monday, Nov 10 - Paving of the southbound lane from south of Kiowa to Nabor. (Intersections affected include Kiowa, Comanche, Apache and Nabor).
Monday, Nov 10 - Paving of the northbound lane from south of Kiowa to Nabor. (Intersections affected include Kiowa, Comanche, Apache and Nabor).

This project is made possible through an Oklahoma Department of Transportation Grant known at the Municipal Roads Drilling Activity Fund, which pays for up to 75% of the project.
